Made to measure & awkward spaces
Our fitted wardrobes are made to order at our Nottinghamshire factory. We work to your specified dimensions, helping you use the available width, height and depth rather than choosing only from standard modules.
IKEA PAX uses standard frame sizes which you combine to create your storage. This can work well when the modules suit the room. Check the complete dimensions, door clearances and required assembly space before ordering.
For awkward spaces or angled ceilings, speak to our team about a made-to-measure layout. We will review your measurements and explain the finishing panels and installation requirements for your design.
Product quality, materials & interiors
Online Bedrooms full-carcass wardrobes use 18mm melamine-faced chipboard (MFC) backs, sides, tops and bases. MFC has a chipboard core with a finished melamine surface. Your cabinet panels are made to your dimensions and supplied ready for assembly.
IKEA PAX frames, doors and KOMPLEMENT fittings have their own material specifications. Check the product information for each chosen component rather than assuming every part uses the same material.

Prices & pricing transparency
A standard modular wardrobe and a made-to-measure wardrobe are different purchases. Compare the complete design: dimensions, doors, drawers, handles, interiors and finishing panels, along with delivery and assembly.
IKEA’s planner helps you price the selected PAX components. Check that your combination includes everything needed, including any separately sold fittings or services. Your Online Bedrooms quotation itemises the furniture so you can adjust the design to suit your budget.
If you already have a PAX plan, send us your design with the room measurements. We can prepare a made-to-measure alternative and explain the specification differences.
Ask about any current minimum order requirements when requesting a quotation. Finance eligibility, minimum spend and offer terms can change; refer to our current finance information.
Delivery, lead times & fitting
Online Bedrooms manufactures your furniture to order and supplies it flat-packed. Check our current delivery information and confirm the lead time for your order before arranging a fitter.
IKEA PAX availability and delivery dates depend on the selected products and your location. IKEA also offers assembly services subject to availability and terms. Confirm the complete order and service dates before making arrangements.
You can assemble Online Bedrooms furniture yourself using our assembly instructions, or appoint an independent fitter. Include their availability and charges when comparing the time and cost of a finished wardrobe.
Warranty & aftercare
IKEA PAX has a 10-year guarantee, subject to IKEA’s conditions and exclusions. Read the guarantee for the products in your chosen combination.
Online Bedrooms cabinetry has a 15-year guarantee. Modern MFC doors have a 15-year guarantee; vinyl-wrapped Shaker doors have a 6-year guarantee. Accessories and sliding components have their own cover periods and exclusions.
Our supply-only guarantee excludes installation labour and consequential fitting costs. Compare the terms for each component rather than applying the longest advertised period to the whole project. Read our full warranty information.
Soft-close doors & fittings
Our hinged wardrobe doors use soft-close mechanisms and 155° wide-angle hinges. Soft-close drawers are also available as part of your specified storage layout.
For IKEA PAX, check the hinges, runners and closing mechanisms included with your selected doors and KOMPLEMENT fittings. Compare the actual components in each quotation, including drawer numbers and door opening clearances.

Both companies offer online planning routes. IKEA has an online PAX planner and planning services to help you configure its system. Check the available services and terms for your location.
