Product quality, materials & interiors
The wardrobe construction is an important difference to understand when comparing quotations. Sharps describes its Space+ approach as using the room’s available space without the conventional top, side and back panels of a full cabinet. Ask your designer to show exactly what is included in your proposed layout.
Online Bedrooms offers full-carcass fitted wardrobes made with 18mm MFC backs, sides, tops and bases. The cabinetry and doors are made to measure. You can choose your internal finish and plan hanging space, shelves and drawers around what you need to store.

Materials, MDF & preparation
Our full-carcass wardrobe cabinetry uses melamine-faced chipboard (MFC). It is supplied as finished panels for assembly, rather than cabinetry that needs painting in your home.
When comparing any fitted wardrobe quote, ask which materials are used for the doors, internal panels and finishing pieces. These can differ within the same wardrobe. Confirm which panels need trimming during installation and what preparation is needed for your walls, floor and ceiling.
With a system that leaves walls visible inside the wardrobe, consider the finish of those surfaces before installation. Existing damp or condensation should be addressed as a property issue when planning any wardrobe.
Do you get more wardrobe space with Sharps?
Sharps advertises up to 40% more space than ordinary fitted wardrobes using its Space+ system. The amount of usable storage in your own room depends on the dimensions, construction and internal layout being compared.
A full cabinet uses some room for its backs, sides and top. A front-frame approach can leave more of the room’s internal dimensions available. Neither figure alone tells you how well your clothes, shoes and accessories will fit.
Compare internal usable widths and heights, shelf depths, hanging lengths and access to drawers. Ask to see both designs with equivalent storage requirements, rather than judging them only by the amount of panel material or the external width.
Delivery, lead times & installation
Online Bedrooms is a supply-only manufacturer. We deliver your furniture flat-packed so you can assemble it yourself or arrange an independent fitter. Our delivery information sets out current lead times and delivery arrangements; confirm the timing for your order before arranging installation.
Sharps offers a design and installation service. Ask for the dates for surveying, delivery and fitting as part of your quotation. When comparing timescales, distinguish the furniture delivery date from the date your finished wardrobe will be ready to use.

Warranty: compare the cover as well as the years
Online Bedrooms provides a 15-year cabinetry guarantee. Modern MFC doors have a 15-year guarantee, while vinyl-wrapped Shaker doors have a 6-year guarantee. Other accessories and sliding components have their own periods and exclusions. Our supply-only guarantee does not cover fitting labour.
Sharps currently advertises a 15-year product and installation guarantee. Check the terms supplied with your quotation for the furniture range and work included.

Soft-close doors & storage details
Our made-to-measure wardrobes include soft-close doors and drawers, with 155° wide-angle hinges on our hinged wardrobe doors. Your designer can help arrange the interiors around long and short hanging, folded clothing and accessories.
Check that both quotations include equivalent drawer quantities, hinges, handles, shelving and internal accessories. Ask each supplier to confirm the details for your chosen range, rather than assuming everything pictured is included.

Getting a design & quote
Sharps offers a free home design visit. Online Bedrooms works remotely: you provide your measurements and preferences, and our designers work with you online or by telephone on a free 3D design and itemised quote.
If you want a company to visit, measure and fit your wardrobe, include that service when comparing costs. If you are comfortable measuring your space and arranging assembly, Online Bedrooms offers an alternative route with control over who installs the furniture.

Minimum order value & pricing transparency
Online Bedrooms provides an itemised quotation so you can see the cost of the furniture components and make changes to suit your budget. Ask both suppliers to confirm the final price for the same layout, dimensions, finishes, storage, delivery and installation requirements.
For a fair total, add your independent fitter’s cost to an Online Bedrooms supply-only quote if you will not be assembling the furniture yourself. Check what is included in the Sharps installation quotation and whether any preparation or additional work is excluded.
